Best Western Plus Dana Point Inn-By-The-Sea, Dana Point

I had a mixed experience at the hotel. The rooms were bigger than expected and clean, but they had a lingering odor of old furniture, which was disappointing considering that they looked nothing like the beautiful ocean-view rooms advertised on the website. However, the service was exceptional with the staff going above and beyond to address room issues. The location was decent, directly across the street from the beach, but there weren't many activities nearby. The dining was good overall, but the surprise construction taking place during my stay was a downside.

The location is great, close to the harbor and within walking distance to activities and restaurants. However, noise from the highway can be disruptive, and the room decor feels cold.
